BidKaki guide

How to find and evaluate GeBIZ tenders

GeBIZ is Singapore's official procurement portal. BidKaki helps you research the public opportunity and award record; all registrations, tender documents and submissions still happen on GeBIZ.

1. Register before you need to bid

Suppliers use a GeBIZ Trading Partner account to download documents and submit bids. The first authorised representative account is free, while additional account types may carry fees. Some opportunities also require Government Supplier Registration; the notice and documents state when it applies.

2. Search by buyer language, not only your service name

Agencies may describe the same need differently. Build a short keyword set covering the service, deliverable, equipment type and common abbreviations. Then review related categories and agencies to catch opportunities that a single exact phrase would miss.

3. Make a bid/no-bid decision early

  • Can you meet every mandatory requirement and closing deadline?
  • Do the contract size, payment terms and delivery risk fit your capacity?
  • Can you show directly relevant experience rather than a generic capability statement?
  • Is there enough time to clarify ambiguity through the official channel?

4. Use past awards as context, not a price promise

Previous results can reveal recurring buyers, active suppliers and broad contract values. Scope, quantities and evaluation criteria vary, so a historical amount is not a recommended bid price. Confirm the current documents before deciding.
